We're back! And for those of you who don't know where we are back from we just spent the last two weeks in a small town in Nebraska at my parents farm house- I say that like it is their vacation home but it's where they and my brothers and sisters live and I like to consider it my vacation home for now. It is a 100 year old house out in the country and definitely a change of scenery and pace from the hustle and bustle of big time Dallas. My kids played with frogs, rode horses and four wheelers, took walks on dirt roads, went swimming, and climbed apple trees. My activities included running every morning down dirt country roads and basically relaxing and watching my fam entertain and spoil my kids. My two youngest sisters are ages 4 and 6 so it was like a playdate everyday for Ava and Sophia. Here are lots of photos from our trip. The only thing missing was Dan who we were SO excited to get back to!!
Feeding and Petting Callie
Grandpa swinging Ava and Aunt Kya
Esme with Aunt Anna
See ya next time...

Cass....Those are GREAT pics!!! Does she have any availability..I could use a good few weeks too! :)
Okay, so you know I could definitely live there, right? :) Good thing we did our value project on horseback riding! (Sorry, I couldn't resist! I actually found the poster we made last summer..ha, ha) Anyway, the pictures are beautiful and it looks like so much fun.
no you didn't go there with the value project! You and Ken and girls need to meet us over in NE sometime. My fam hasn't seen you in FOREVER!!
Wow Cassie, looks wonderful.
How are things in Dallas now? We are still trying to unpack (little luck) and make our new home livable. I can't believe how much duplicate JUNK we have... craigslist has become my favorite site.
Esme is gorgeous.
cassie, how we would have loved to have been around with you. we love frogs and horses and dirt roads here (just not spiders, evidently) and we especially love our cousins. (ethan just wrote ava quite a letter. he literally spent 2 days perfecting the card so make sure she notes the subtleties).
so glad you had a relaxing time with family. we hope to see you soon.
I just want to go sit on one of those rocking chairs...while Alec runs crazy in the mud..with the frogs and all.
My favorite pic is of the girls on the dirt road. You should give that as a gift. Ask me about it.
love you.
